The Allen Family
Originally from southern Ohio, Nick came to know the Lord as a teenager and has been actively involved in the ministry since. After spending three years serving the Lord at an inner city church plant in Cincinnati, he accepted an opportunity to transition to the role of Youth and College Ministries Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Marion, OH. Yet, the burden for church planting that first arose in his heart while in Cincinnati always remained. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from Ohio Christian University and is close to finishing a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies at the Master's University as well.
Upon getting married to Lauren in 2022, the Allens went before their elders at TBC with a desire to plant a new church. This calling was unanimously affirmed by the eldership who also commissioned them to research church planting networks, mission strategies and prospective locations to plant.
Now in 2024, fresh out of the hospital with their firstborn son, Judah, the Allens are now praying and preparing for an opportunity to partner with an existing church near the Newark area who will help to build up and equip them to start a missional community home group which will prayerfully make up a core team for a new church in Newark.
